Nominations Open: Contra Costa County's Youth Hall of Fame

The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce that nominations are open for the 2023 Contra Costa County Youth Hall of Fame Awards.

This annual program recognizes youth change makers aged 12-18 who've achieved meaningful impact through community projects. The awards categories are as follows: 

• Good Samaritan: Goes out of their way to do for others without seeking recognition
• Volunteerism: Lends a helping hand for the good of the community: Gives their time and energy to a worthy cause or organization
• Teamwork: Works unselfishly for the good of a team
• Leadership and Civic Engagement: A natural leader who inspires others and works to make a difference in their school and community
• Perseverance: Has worked hard to overcome obstacles to achieve success

Winners will be honored at the 29th Annual César E. Chávez Commemorative Celebration on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 1025 Escobar Street in Martinez. The event will be streamed live on Contra Costa television channels and the county website: https://www.contracosta.ca.gov
