Celebrate MLK Day 2023 on the Richmond Greenway with Urban Tilth
Looking for a way to give back in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day Join Richmond's Urban Tilth on January 16th, 2023, to beautify the Richmond Greenway Trail!

To date over 700 volunteers have coordinated with Urban Tilth and its partner organizations to make this beloved pedestrian and bicycle path easy to navigate for the entire community.
Activities will include:
- Planting trees and native plants
- Removing invasive species
- Garden maintenance
- Building a compost bin
- First aid support
- Painting
- Deadheading and implanting pollinator beds
- Mulching bioswale
- Waste pickup
- Laying down weed cloth
Arrive at 9:00 AM sharp for orientation and get prepared to roll up your sleeves. In addition to the volunteer activity, you'll be invited to partake in a memorial for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Volunteers will also enjoy snacks and refreshments, a DJ, and kids' activities. Hope to see you there!
