Clean Cars for All Program

Upgrade Your Vehicle and Help Control Emissions
In need of a new car? The Clean Cars for All program is currently open and accepting applications. Click here to read the Program Advisory.
Program Description
Clean Cars For All offers grants for income-qualified Bay Area residents to retire their old vehicles for more sustainable transportation options. These include the purchase of a new car (hybrid, plug-in hybrid, battery, hydrogen fuel cell, or electric) — or a pre-paid card that can be used for public transit or e-bike purchases.
Depending on your eligibility, you could receive around $2,000 - $12,000 for cleaner, greener transport.
Eligibility
To qualify for the program, you must:
- Live within the jurisdiction of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District
- Fall within one of several specified income brackets
- Provide a Certificate of Title (pink slip) under your name for your vehicle. The vehicle must have been registered in California, operational, under 10,000 pounds, and a model year no earlier than 2007.
At this time, only new applicants to the vehicle replacement grant program are being accepted.
