Have you been following the conversation around the Craneway Pavilion's pickleball courts? The California State Lands Commission issued a letter on April 17, 2024, concerning the approved usage of the building.
Many are concerned that the primary focus seems to be a pickleball venue — while the described use included a full-service restaurant and gaming area.
The letter states that the City and Orton should work together to ensure that the building's use is balanced to provide a statewide or regional benefit that is water-dependent or water-related.
