Richmond, CA — The Office of Mayor Eduardo Martinez is thrilled to announce its partnership with the Richmond Chamber of Commerce for the inaugural 2024 Best of Richmond contest. This initiative aims to spotlight the excellence and diversity of Richmond's local business community, encouraging residents to support and nominate their favorite local enterprises.
Mayor Eduardo Martinez expressed his enthusiasm for the campaign, stating, "Richmond is home to an incredible array of businesses that contribute significantly to the vibrancy and economic vitality of our community. The Best of Richmond contest is a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate these establishments and underscore the importance of local shopping, which in turn, supports our local economy."
The Best of Richmond contest invites residents to nominate businesses across over 100 categories, ranging from dining and retail to professional and home services. This initiative not only highlights the best of what Richmond has to offer but also reinforces the bond between businesses and the community they serve.
Participation in the contest is free for businesses, offering them a chance to gain widespread recognition, marketing support, and direct engagement with their customer base. Winners will be celebrated with window clings, certificates, digital assets, and an exclusive invitation to an award ceremony, recognizing their contribution to the community.
In addition to the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the contest is supported by local business groups including Cobiz Richmond, Richmond Main Street, and the Point Richmond Business Association, making it a collaborative effort to boost local commerce.
The nomination phase begins in March, with a subsequent voting round in April and May. Voting begins this Monday, March 25th. The award ceremony is scheduled for June when the City of Richmond and local dignitaries will honor the winners.
